MAG Ireland has been advised by a rider that the Laragh to Roundwood road in Wicklow has recently been resurfaced with loose chippings, and that the road has not been swept and remains in a dangerous state for riders.
With the Bank Holiday weekend now getting underway in glorious sunshine, riders of all sorts and abilities will be drawn to the Wicklow hills. If you or any of your friends are planning a ride out or run in the Laragh/Roundwood area, please be aware that the roads may have been left in a dangerous state.
MAG Ireland continues to oppose the use of loose chippings as a surface dressing, and will be making contact with Wicklow County council to address this issue. In the meantime, ride safe and enjoy the weekend.
